The Winning FP14 In-Line Thermal Control Valve (Safety Shutoff Valve) is an all-stainless-steel, self-operating thermal control valve designed for precise temperature-based flow regulation in industrial tracing and process systems.

Application

• Replacement for conventional steam traps on winterization tracing, instrument tracing, and condensate return system freeze protection
• Tracing for processes under 150°F (66°C)
• Sample cooler protection — automatically shuts off flow to prevent equipment damage when cooling fluid is lost or temperature limits are exceeded
• Process analyzers and similar instrumentation requiring temperature-safe sample fluids
• Any application requiring in-line flow control based on temperature

Operation

• Responds only to temperature — modulates flow to maintain constant condensate discharge temperature
• Wide open at start-up for rapid venting and initial heat-up
• Self-draining after shutdown to eliminate freeze damage
• For temperature-sensitive instruments: reduced tracing temperature simplifies operations and eliminates overheating
• For other heat transfer fluids: maintains constant discharge temperature for accurate process control and improved efficiency
